Meet the Leadership Team
David Crane
Founder & CEO
David founded Norwalk Pallets in 2008 after a decade in warehouse logistics. He leads company strategy and key client relationships. His philosophy: treat every pallet like it matters, because to someone's supply chain, it does.
Maria Reyes
Head of Operations
Maria joined in 2013 and built the grading and QA systems that define Norwalk's reputation for consistency. She oversees all inbound and outbound logistics, fleet scheduling, and inventory management across our three facilities.
Thomas Jacobs
Sustainability Director
Thomas architected our zero-landfill program and manages all biomass, compost, and certification partnerships. He holds a degree in Environmental Science from UConn and is certified by the EPA WasteWise program. He publishes our annual sustainability report.
Sandra Kowalski
Repair & Production Manager
Sandra manages the 14-person repair floor. She introduced the time-study system that cut average repair time by 28% while improving board-replacement quality. Her team processes over 3,000 repaired pallets per week.
James Liu
Sales & Client Success
James leads our commercial sales team and manages enterprise accounts in retail, manufacturing, and food distribution. He's known for his deep knowledge of pallet grading standards and his ability to match clients to the right product at the right price.
Alicia Norris
Fleet & Logistics Manager
Alicia manages our eight-truck fleet and coordinates delivery scheduling across Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts. She introduced route-optimization software that reduced fuel consumption by 18% in 2023 and keeps our on-time delivery rate at 96%.
What It\'s Like to Work Here
Culture isn\'t a poster on the wall. It\'s how we make decisions when no one is watching, how we treat each other under pressure, and how we grow together.
Ownership Mentality
Every team member is empowered to solve problems without waiting for permission. We trust our people to make the right call because we hire people with good judgment.
No Hierarchy on Ideas
Our best process improvements have come from forklift operators and drivers. Everyone's experience matters. Monthly all-hands meetings include an open floor session — no agenda, no filters.
Pay That Respects the Work
Pallet work is physical, skilled, and essential. We pay above regional medians across all roles and offer profit-sharing to all full-time employees after one year.
Safety First, Always
Zero-incident quarters are celebrated. Near-miss reporting is encouraged and never penalized. Our safety record has been cited by our insurance carrier as a model for the industry.
We\'re Growing
We regularly hire for operations, repair, driving, and sales roles. If you want to do meaningful work in a company that respects you, we\'d love to talk.
